Post Recital news
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard on the recital this year! I hope everyone enjoyed the new space and the experience. Please keep your eyes open for emails regarding summer and fall placement, classes, intensives and performance camps. We are are in the process of planning a great summer.
Pictures will be coming in in 3-4 weeks - I will be sending out an email when they arrive. Students enrolled in summer classes will receive their pictures in class, those not enrolled may pick them up at the front office.

Summer Dance Classes, Intensives & Performance Camps!
Our 8-Weeks of Classes (billed in 2 4-Week Sessions) begins June 3rd and runs through August 26th!
Class Schedule will be posted the week of June 12th after recital & promotions!
Story Book Classes: Story Book Classes emphasize different dance styles (Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop & Funk) in a format designed for younger dancers. Each class focuses on basic positions, steps and movement while working with props and learning how to sequence dance steps using stories.
Classical & Modern Ballet: Classical classes focus on the fundamentals of ballet including body alignment, technique, flexibility, and musicality. Each level builds upon the level previous to it. Promotion to Ballet II and III is based on ability, not age. Students new to the program are welcome to request an evaluation by our Dance Director, Tess Anderson.
Hip Hop: Our high energy, upbeat, and funky street dance class. Classes stress technique and discipline, while encouraging individual style and expression.
Funk: An exciting combination of
Tap: Focus on rhythm, coordination, and learning the basics of tap technique.
Lyrical: A fusion of ballet, jazz and contemporary styles with a focus on emotional expression and musicality.
Flexibility: An intensive 45 minutes of stretching for dancers in Level I classes and up. Class will work on flexibility with a focus on legs and splits.
New Dress Code:
Ballet I - Company Class -- Pink tights, solid color leotards, pink shoes (if you have black, don't panic, dancers can wear black shoes until new ones are required - the goal is everyone in pink by recital in June),T- Shirt and shorts/pants for the boys - not too loose or baggy. Skirts, legwarmers, and dance wraps are allowed. Girls, hair MUST be in a bun. Boys, hair must be off the face and neck. No jewelry. No jeans. No jeggings.
Story Book Classes -- Leotards and tights/shorts/leggings - T- Shirt and shorts/pants for the boys - not too loose or baggy. No sharp edges, buttons, snaps etc. Skirts, legwarmers, and dance wraps are allowed. Ballet shoes for ballet, soft soled jazz shoes or socks for Jazz & Hip Hop, Tap shoes for Tap. Hair must be off the face and neck. Please no princess dresses, nightgowns, skirts or tutus that extend past the knees. Hair must be off the face and neck. No jewelry. No jeans. No jeggings.
Theatrical Jazz/Hip Hop/Lyrical -- Leotards and tights/shorts/leggings - T- Shirt and shorts/pants for the boys - not too loose or baggy. No sharp edges, buttons, snaps etc. Soft soled jazz shoes for Jazz, bare feet for Hip Hop, soft soled jazz or ballet shoes for lyrical. Hair must be off the face and neck. No jewelry. No jeans. No jeggings.
Tap -- Leotards and tights/shorts/leggings - T- Shirt and shorts/pants for the boys - not too loose or baggy. No sharp edges, buttons, snaps, etc. Tap shoes. NO JEANS!!!! Hair must be off the face and neck. No jewelry. No jeans. No jeggings.

Membership Fee: $40 per family
Membership Fee: There is an annual, non-refundable, Family Membership due upon registration. This membership gives you discounts for Parents’ Night Out, Open Gym, Birthday Parties and Camps.
Ongoing Enrollment: Enrollment opens in August for the 2016-2017 season. Classes begin September 6th and run through to the Recital in June.
Tuition: Tuition is due the first week of each session. Payments not received by the first week of each session will automatically be charged a $15 fee, unless prior arrangements are made with the office. If tuition is still not paid by the end of the second week of the session, student(s) will not be allowed in class, and may be dropped from the program. Pro-Rating classes only occurs upon joining a class after session has started, or if we are closed due to a holiday.
Adds, Drops & Transfers: All adds, drops and transfers will be effective at the time of written notification to the office staff. If a class is dropped after the next session is in progress, you remain responsible for the full 4-weeks of classes. No Cash, check or credit card refunds will be given. A credit on your account may be offered in the event of an injury or prolonged illness.
Attendance: Please make sure that your child arrives on-time for their classes to ensure they warm up properly. Instructors go from one class to the next, so please pick-up your child promptly. In case of emergency contact the office to assure your child is supervised until your arrival.
Make-up classes: We do not pro-rate for missed classes or substitute for tuition payments. Make up classes are to be completed within two months of the missed class. All make-ups are forfeited if the student drops from the program. Please make arrangements for makeups with your dance instructor.
The Dance Lobby entrance is at the South West end of the building, under the Dance sign by the mailboxes. Parking is available on the East and South side of the building and on the street.
