Dance Classes

Story Book Classes: Story Book Classes are structured to instruct younger dancers in a format designed just for them. Each class focuses on basic positions, steps, counting, musicality and movement while working with props and learning how to sequence dance steps using stories.

Ballet: Our classes focus on the fundamentals of ballet including body alignment, technique, flexibility, and musicality. Each level builds upon the level previous to it. Promotion to Intermediate Ballet is based on ability, not age. Students new to the program are welcome to request an evaluation by our Dance Director, Miss Tess.

Leaps & Turns is a add on class for students already enrolled in Ballet (date and time TBD after October)

Stretch & Strength is open to all dancers and gymnasts currently enrolled in beginning or level 1 and up. Classes Begin October 5th

Lyrical: A fusion of ballet and jazz with a focus on emotional expression and musicality. All Lyrical students are required to be concurrently enrolled in a ballet class.

Jazz: We offer two complementary styles of Jazz - Theatrical Jazz (taught by Miss Tess) and Jazz Fusion (taught by Miss Megan). Theatrical Jazz is grounded in the world of musical theater and Jazz Fusion is a blending of modern jazz, contemporary and hip hop. Both classes work basic steps and combinations, flexibility and musicality.

Hip Hop: Our high energy, upbeat, and funky street dance class. Classes stress technique and discipline, while encouraging individual style and expression.

Tap: Focus on rhythm, coordination, and learning the basics of tap technique.

New Classes! Acting & Musical Theater Performance Classes

Acting: Learn the basics of stage acting - storytelling, theater games, scenes and improvisation. (please dress to move, no street shoes). Check out Miss Tess’ bio for her experience in theater and the performing arts. Classes Begin October 5th

Musical Theater Performance Class: This class will put together an musical theater piece, using dance, movement and acting to create a performance piece.
