Dance Classes

Story Book Classes: Story Book Classes are structured to instruct younger dancers in a format designed just for them. Each class focuses on basic positions, steps, counting, musicality and movement while working with props and learning how to sequence dance steps using stories. 



Ballet: Our classes focus on the fundamentals of ballet including body alignment, technique, flexibility, and musicality. Each level builds upon the level previous to it. Promotion to Intermediate Ballet is based on ability, not age. Students new to the program are welcome to request an evaluation by our Dance Director, Miss Megan.

Leaps & Turns is a add on class for students already enrolled in Ballet (date and time TBD after October)

Stretch & Strength is open to all dancers and gymnasts currently enrolled in beginning or level 1 and up. Classes Begin October 5th



Lyrical: A fusion of ballet and jazz with a focus on emotional expression and musicality. All Lyrical students are required to be concurrently enrolled in a ballet class.

Jazz: We offer two complementary styles of Jazz - Theatrical Jazz and Jazz Fusion. Theatrical Jazz is grounded in the world of musical theater and Jazz Fusion is a blending of modern jazz, contemporary and hip hop. Both classes work basic steps and combinations, flexibility and musicality. 

Hip Hop: Our high energy, upbeat, and funky street dance class. Classes stress technique and discipline, while encouraging individual style and expression. 



Tap: Focus on rhythm, coordination, and learning the basics of tap technique. 



Acting & Musical Theater Performance Classes

Acting: Learn the basics of stage acting - storytelling, theater games, scenes and improvisation. (please dress to move, no street shoes).

Musical Theater Performance Class: This class will put together an musical theater piece, using dance, movement and acting to create a performance piece. Students must be concurrently enrolled in either a dance or acting class. 



Super Saturday workshops, Dance Intensives, and Performance Camps

Super Saturday: A great way for students challenge themselves by being exposed to new instructors who offer different material / approaches. They will include technique such as turns/leaps/kicks. Students will learn multiple combinations- anything from Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical / Contemporary, Modern. 2:00pm - 5:00pm Saturdays.

  • April 27th w/ Miss Lacey (see bio) will focus on Lyrical & Jazz combinations, turns, leaps and technique.

  • May 18th w/ Miss Tiffany (see bio) and will be an afternoon of Hip Hop

Dance Workshops: A full week of dance Members $240*. June workshop will focus on Ballet, Lyrical & Jazz, July workshop will be Hip Hop, Acro & Tap.

No Drop Ins - Full Week Camp 9:00 am - 1:00 pm | Ages 6 - 13 | Dancers outside the age range need Miss Megan's approval | Dancers to bring snack & lunch I Dancers will perform - Friday @ 12:30 | Leotard for performance included.

MiniMover Performance Camp: Our popular MiniMove camp is back! Campers spend the week learning an original "story" made up of gymnastics, dance and rhythmic components. They will also create their own props and costumes to perform in and take home. MiniMovers have a 6:1 gymnast/instructor ratio | Ages 3 to 6 (must be potty trained) | Non-Members $220; Members $205 | No Drop Ins - Full Week Camp | Gymnasts to bring snack | Campers will perform Friday @ 11:30 AM.

Performance Camp: Come spend the week creating an original performance. The performance will included elements of ballet/jazz/hip hop/acro/modern/acting/improve. We will also be creating costumes, set pieces and props. $295 | No Drop Ins - Full Week Camp | Gymnasts to bring snack | Campers will perform Friday @ 1:30 PM.

2018-2019 Dress Code

Hair must be off the face and neck. No jewelry. No jeans. No jeggings.

Story Book Ballet: GirlsPink tights, pink ballet shoes*, solid colored leotard or ballet dress** (no tutus), Boys - fitted shirt, tights or dance shorts, pink or flesh colored ballet shoes. 

Story Book Ballet/Tap Combo: Girls - Pink tights, pink ballet shoes*, black tap shoes, solid colored leotard or ballet dress (no tutus). Boys - fitted shirt, tights or dance shorts, black ballet shoes, black tap shoes. 

Story Book Tap: Girls - Pink or Suntan tights, black tap shoes, solid colored leotard, ballet dress (no tutus), or biketard. Boys - fitted shirt, tights or dance shorts, black tap shoes. 

Story Book Hip Hop: Girls - Solid colored footless tights or dance shorts/pants, solid colored leotard or biketard, bare feet. Boys - fitted shirt, tights or dance shorts, bare feet.

Story Book Hip Hop & Tumble: Girls - Solid colored footless tights or dance shorts/pants, solid colored leotard or biketard, bare feet. Boys - fitted shirt, tights or dance shorts, bare feet.

*Our Dance pro shop has ballet shoes w/o ties, lyrical, jazz and tap shoes. ** Ballet dresses are softly skirted leotards, no tutus or long skirts.

Ballet & Leaps & Turns: Girls - Pink convertible or footed tights, pink ballet shoes*, solid colored leotard, and hair in bun. Boys - fitted shirt, tights or dance shorts, flesh colored ballet shoes. 

Lyrical: Girls - Solid colored footless or convertible tights, lyrical shoes, solid colored leotard, and hair in bun. Boys - fitted shirt, tights or dance shorts, lyrical shoes. 

Jazz: Solid colored footless tights, dance shorts or pants, black jazz shoes*, solid colored leotard or biketard. Boys - fitted shirt, dance shorts/pants, black jazz shoes*.

Hip Hop: Solid colored footless tights, dance shorts or pants, clean sneakers, solid colored leotard or biketard. Boys - fitted shirt, dance shorts/pants, clean sneakers.

Tap: Solid colored footless tights, dance shorts or pants, black tap shoes*, solid colored leotard or biketard. Boys - fitted shirt, dance shorts/pants, black tap shoes*.

Musical Theater: Girls - Solid colored footless tights, dance shorts or pants, black jazz shoes*, solid colored leotard or biketard. Boys - fitted shirt, tights, dance shorts, black jazz shoes*..

Tuition is due the first week of each four-week session

10% Second class; 25% Third class; 40% Each additional class

Membership Fee: $40 per family

Classes begin Monday June 17th, and are ongoing through Saturday, August 24th.

Summer is billed in two 5-Week increments:

  • Session 01 - June 17th - July 20th - Thursday Classes Prorated for The 4th.

  • Session 02 - July 22nd - Aug. 24th

Our 5-Week "Sessions" are for billing purposes. There are 2 sessions in the Summer. Enrollment roles from billing session to billing session. If you drop your gymnast, please notify the office via email or phone.  

Membership Fee: There is an annual, non-refundable, Family Membership due upon registration. This membership gives you discounts for Parents’ Night Out, Open Gym, Birthday Parties and Camps. 

Ongoing Enrollment: Enrollment opens in April for the 2019 Summer season. Classes begin June 17th and run through August 25th. 

Tuition: Tuition is due the first week of each session. Payments not received by the first week of each session will automatically be charged a $15 fee, unless prior arrangements are made with the office. If tuition is still not paid by the end of the second week of the session, student(s) will not be allowed in class, and may be dropped from the program. Pro-Rating classes only occurs upon joining a class after session has started, or if we are closed due to a holiday. 

Adds, Drops & Transfers: All adds, drops and transfers will be effective at the time of written notification to the office staff. If a class is dropped after the next session is in progress, you remain responsible for the full 4-weeks of classes. No Cash, check or credit card refunds will be given. A credit on your account may be offered in the event of an injury or prolonged illness. 

Attendance: Please make sure that your child arrives on-time for their classes to ensure they warm up properly. Instructors go from one class to the next, so please pick-up your child promptly. In case of emergency contact the office to assure your child is supervised until your arrival.

Make-up classes: Only one absence per billing session qualifies for a make-up. We do not pro-rate for missed classes or substitute for tuition payments. You will have 8-weeks to make up your absence. It is very important to us that your children receive consistent coaching and this policy will be enforced to protect the integrity of the program. We do not pro-rate for missed classes or substitute make-ups for tuition payments. 

Summer Session make-ups must be made up during the Summer Sessions, School year make-ups can not be made up in Summer.

The Dance Lobby entrance is at the South West end of the building, under the Dance sign by the mailboxes. Parking is available on the East and South side of the building and on the street.
